With Bob Depaulo's EPS video, we now have two methods for installing Electric Power Steering in a Corvair. I have an instructional guide with pictures for installing the unit under the dash from Guy Desjarins - with instructions. Bob's video shows how to install Electric Power Steering in a Crown race car where the fuel tank has been replaced with a rear fuel cell and the unit is placed above the steering box. I'm almost ready to post Guy's instructions

I’d strongly suggest you consider adding a collapsible column section and or offset coupling in any steering system to prevent potential spearing in an accident.
