Here are a couple of shots of the Dedenbear electric water pump that I installed on the white car. Works great, takes up less space and flows about 25 gallons per minute.

Looks great Rick I just installed a Edlebrock billet pump on my crown car, I worry about the longevity of an electric pump for long trips as I plan to take a few BIG trips of 1500+ miles :) I hope your battery hold down is just temporary most race bodies don't allow bungje cords hehehe

Well, I've considered it. I'm going to use the p/s pump as a belt idler on the 3800 I'm prepping. Later I may replace it with a plain idler, or reroute the belt entirely.
Certainly the fluid would get plenty of cooling, running from just aft of the axles to the front and back.

I've dreamed about having power steering and brakes in this car since bigger tires came out way back.

Regarding the steering ratio: How long are your steering arms?
Are they angled out to give some 'regular' ackerman?
What rack ratio (inches per turn) did you select?
Regards

I haven't been on here in a while so here is a photo of the custom made steering arm that fix the bad Ackerman angle.
Pretty much straight arms 6" long made from 3/4 hot rolled steel and they have worked great so far in this summers races.
