4 wheel alignement

Postby sherwood park rexin » Wed Jun 08, 2016 9:50 pm

After changing out the power steering rack, front and rear springs and shocks, upper ball joints, left tie rod, swapping rear strut rod for C4 rods and doing the bushings, I had an alignment done today. All I can say is WOW! The feel of the car is very close to my 04 Crossfire, very stable and responsive. Now to get the cooling issues worked out and drive the damn thing!

Richard, the alignement was a custom job done by a small shop. The alignement took 2.5 hrs. I'll get the numbers for you next week. The rack was installed before Matt Nall had purchased the car, it looks custom. All I did was identify the rack as a 77/78 ford bobcat part. I posted some shots of the mounts, I'll try to do some measuring and maybe better photos for those interested.

Any chance you might be able to forward the measurements after the alignment? If anyone / everyone else can provide the same measurements, we will all have a baseline to work from.

OK, got the specs for my alignment. Left front- caster 3.6", camber 0.0", toe .05", SAI 6.9"
Right front- caster 4.1", camber 0.0", toe .05, SAI 6.7" total toe front .10", set back 0.4", camber difference 0.0", caster diff -0.5"
Left rear - camber -0.3", toe 0.0"
Right rear - camber -0.1, toe 0.0 total toe rear 0.00", camber difference -0.2, thrust angle 0.1"

Not gonna pretend I know what it all means, just happy with how the car drives on the street.
