After engine removal and teardown inspection it's time to move on. I damaged #6 rod bearing, didn't spin but real close. The crank would need microfinished at the least and I'm not sure that would clean it up. So...................made a deal for a 5.3 LS out of a 2011 Chevy truck. Should be a neat engine and help the weight out a bit as it's all aluminum. Reportably puts out about 315/320 hp so it's a little shy of what I had but I think a carburated intake and MSD controller should get it back fairly close. A lot quicker throttle response at least. I've stripped all the go fast parts from the car and engine and have them on ebay to help finance the upgrade. Even with that, it will probably not be back on the road this year.
Can't say I'm sorry, had some fun with that 350......
