This is an update about Bob Depalo's website. Bob is building the first stages of his website presentation for his build of Mark Allen's donor car. When completed this convertible will be fitted with the front and rear Dobbertin suspension components, an LS engine, BC Saginaw 4-speed and a C5 differential. Bob has provided an introduction on his website and posted his first video showing the milling of the adapter. A detailed explanation is included with the video. Also included is a picture showing a wooden pallet with a complete front and rear C5 suspension. Bob plans to transfer all the parts of these units to the Dobbertin units purchased for Mark Allen's build. There is also a picture of the LS engine scheduled for this build.

You may wish to make this site one of your favorites and check Bob's progress on this build for yourself. We will advise when something new is posted.

Bob Depalo, the owner of Red Dragon Automotive is in the late stages of his race car build for Mark Allen, another V-8 Registry member. The plan is to have Mark's Corvair Conversion ready for the spring racing season. It appears that Bob is on schedule to meet this goal. The chassis work is completed and Bob has just recently lowered the Corvair convertible body that Mark sent him onto the chassis. The body has been modified to assemble to the race chassis. Bob reports that the body will have 8 anchor points. The remaining items on the assembly list include brake lines, wiring to body, cooling system, interior and body trim. Here's the most recent pictures provided by Bob.
