Need your advice

I am currently getting my radiator boiled out and fixed, and I am removing the corroded cooling pipes and replacing them.

several of my car buddies are asking if the stock water pump has enough "umph" to move the water such a long distance.

Any thoughts, anybody ever have any reservations.

Bob,
Should be ok. I know a number of the conversions use the stock water pump and don't seem to have issues. The biggest issue is getting air thru the radiator and then out of the car. I'm using an electric pump to free up the front of the engine of at least one belt routing, also gains me about 6" of extra clearance.

Bob,

One other consideration when you have your cooling system apart is air bubbles. I think you'll find that most mid engine cars have incorporated some sort of a "bleeder" as high up in the system as possible to burp the air bubbles out. I even go so far as to jack up the front of the car up with the engine running to get the bubbles out through the radiator cap.

This car has bleeders in two places I will be sure to take care of that when I refill
