I'm ready to start buying components for my C5/BC Saginaw config and I need to know how to identify which Saginaw to buy.
I know that with at least one of the models - the tail shaft is already the right size & length to fit the C5 with the right adapter plate.
I'm not sure if all have the same length tail shaft or not.
So do I need the torque tube tail shaft GM 81-82 Camaro, or something else?
I already found the groove decoder for the gear ratios.

Thanks

I can't answer questions about the C5 tail shaft length or whether a C6 and C7 Diff are similar to the C5. Hopefully other members will see this topic and weigh in. We could use some help from those in the know.

Here's something that was pointed out to me by Richard Miller. Mike Levine recently posted on Corvair Center that he is supplying C5 to Jerico adapters. Here's what was posted:

It looks like c5 diffs can have trouble when abused with big hp - still take way more hp than a vair diff.
But someone planning to make big hp and abuse it might be better off with a C6 diff, or one of the Z06 diffs.

For track use (road race, not drag), looks like vettes need a cooler for trans and diff. Anyone doing that?

This may have already been posted, but just in case - Here is a link to the Hot Rod Magazine article "Bolt a Corvette IRS Suspension Into Your Project!"
