The most critical part of setting up a Crown V8 Transaxle. Special tool gets you close and the dial indicator gets you as close to Zero as possible.

Mike,

Thanks for the posting. I'm about to crack open the transmission and the bellhousing from the block to fix a leaking camshaft soft plug at the back of the block. I can't remember if I did this measurement way back when I put it all together.

Any good ideas on how to remove a broken bolt in the sifter shaft to Crown U-Tube connection? I have broken three easy outs trying to get it out. I'll probably have to cut the U-Tube in half to remove the engine.
