First I want to thank everyone for all of the help in working on this car. You are a super group of people.
I finally got the transaxle out today with the cross member as a unit. The clutch really did not look bad but the throw-out bearing was in rough shape. Of course a simple project has now blossomed into all new transmission mounts, rear shocks, rear sway bar bushings, shifter bushings, front swaybar links, new clutch, machined flywheel, new gas tsnl, new coolant tubes, dual brake upgrade and so on.
Questions:
Should the "ball" for the clutch lever be changed? Looks OK but as long as things are apart...
The rear swaybar links the same as the front?
Suggestions for rear shocks?
I'm going with a Centerforce II clutch. For a stock 327, is this enough? My focus is making the clutch pedal easier to push. It is nearly impossible to hold it down right now. The fellow who built the car told me it was a super high grip unit.
