Anyone running a 3 sp man in their car, or know anything about them? Just curious. 1st gear on my 4 sp is almost useless with the 3.55 diff. In my parts I also came across a 3.27 diff which may donate ring and pinion to the 4 spider 3.55. The 3sp is out of a 65 car but I don't know much about the ratios in it or how it will work with the V8.

Well, I screwed that up! Pulled said diff and tranny into garage for a closer look, and wouldn't you know, it's a 4 speed no groove (2.84 1st) mated to the 3.27. Tranny and diff appear in very good condition, maybe just need a 4 spider carrier. I believe this would be a decent setup for V8 power.
