3.05 Gears?

3.05 Gears?

Postby ctcarguy » Sat Sep 23, 2017 5:39 am

My 327 Crown conversion has a 1966 transaxle with what I believe is 3.55 gears. First gear us unusable so I start in second easily. The problem is the RPMs with these gears. I am hoping the 3.08 will be a better all around gear ratio. Does anyone know of someone in or near Connecticut that has the expertise in changing out these gears? Thank.

I'd check with the local CORSA Chapter.... they'll know

I did ask both in CT and MA but no one seems to know who can do this work. Can it be changed without removing the transaxle? I took the transaxle out last year to do a clutch and just do not have the se up to try it again. I did it with the motor installed.
