eBay has an extremely interesting Corvair for sale. The owner indicates that this is a one off creation by Gene Winfield. This pure custom convertible in red with black interior. It's equipped with a mid-engine 215 V-8 with an automatic transaxle. The car has 4-wheel disc brakes. Here's a link to the ad:

John, this is the same car that was for sale for $10k in Phoenix in April last year. I contacted the seller and exchanged messages with him. The current seller redid the interior (not sure what that really means) and is in CA. There is no top with the car so fairly impractical unless you are confident that there will be no rain/cold and you don't mind the sun beating down on your noggin.

Just noticed that this car went thru a massive price reduction in the ebay listing: down from $24k to an asking price now of $14k. Just FYI...
