I got a decent used hood from Clarks Corvair. &75.00 Just some surface rust. I plan to modify it with vents.

You are talking venting from the radiator I assume? Take a look at the photo of what Chuck Rust just did. Click on the link and go down the page a ways to Chuck's hood project. Are you thinking something like this?

Nice fab work! I would love to do that but it is beyond my ability. For now, 2 BMW vents plus the open floor.
