All good points for sure. I am starting to doubt if mine is really a true original Crown.

From what I am seeing, it may not be.

But I still need headers, and what I am finding on the net from Summit, Jeg's , nothing there will work.

And yes, special made is an option but not for me, I don't have that kind of cash.

When I bought my car, it was represented as a Crown car.

Now that I have owned it a bit, I am starting to wonder if in fact it is a Crown, or perhaps a

homemade conversion.

Either way I still love it, but trying to find a set of headers that fit, is driving me crazy.

nothing wrong with a homemade conversion ,, my first was an original Crown ,, my current is a homemade conversion .. sounds like cheapest route would be to modify the headers you currently have .. muffler shop should be able to take care of that ,, you mention summit ,, they have the following from advance adapters ,,,ADD-717053-NP is summit part number for what could best be called a tubular exhaust log .. but it fits high and tight to engine and points in the right direction ,, 290 bucks ,,one thing I would highly recommend is spending money to get headers ceramic coated inside and out .. great heat reduction

I think twin turbo headers would work great for any crown car and if I ever have to replace my custom headers I would use something like these

I have looked at these, they are nice and would be very doable.

But the ends, are square.............would have to be modified obviously.

Still looking, I can't move on with the build until I get the exhaust set up.

Someone in California had a set.............are they still there.

Have you skimmed the parts that are for sale here on the forum? You should find a couple of guys that say they Crown parts available. The postings may be old, but it is worth contacting them as many of the parts never sold. That's how I found a Crown linkage u-tube that I wouldn't have found anyplace else.
