I started using electric fuel pumps when I first redid my car. Used (IIRC) probably 3 different style pumps. I always had an issue with supposed vapor lock, especially after a short shut down/heat sink. I eventually switched to an Aeromotive Stealth system. It has to be mounted in the tank, so not a simple install. Can be used with a bypass/return or no return. Solved the vapor lock issue. I have an aluminum fuel cell so it wasn't too hard a job to install but does require a 3' or so hole in the tank.
